Most The Car Problems When Your Car Overheating ?
The most common causes of your car overheating there are five reasons but let me first explain to you about the cylinder head gasket. The head gasket is between the engine block and cylinder Head. The cylinder head gaskets are made from a variety of materials ranging from aramid to graphite and multiple layers of steel sheets in lamination form. The cylinder head gasket acts as engine safety valve, failures often provide early warning of your engine problems. Quick reaction to the warning signs can prevent costly engine damage. Your car overheating can be caused by (Stuck Thermostat- Leak In The Cooling System- Water Pump- Fan Is Not Working- Clogged Radiator, Or Walshe Plugs Leaking. Tips To Identify The Causes Of The Gasket Failure Can Cause Your Car Overheating:
COMBUSTION LEAKATGE: Hard blackened face- surface cracks- Discoloured eyelets-grooves- Bluges- The causes of the combustion leakadge are/Insufficient Clamping Load- Rough Machining- Split Bore Culot Rings Of Poor Quality Gasket can cause your car overheating.
CORROSION: Disintegration of gasket through to steel- Corrosion around coolant passages(specially next to bores)- Split water jacket eyelets- Brown marks left by corroded radiator/ Cooling system. The causes can happen:If the coolant not inadequately treated with corrosion inhibitor specially with aluminium heads. Your cylinder head gasket ending on this condition can can cause your car overheating too.
COOLANT SEEPAGE: White residue covers water jacket ares- Grooves- Bulges. Can be Caused: By Chemichal attack from coolant additive inferior quality gaskets are especially prone to coolant seepage. With certain time you driving your car this head gasket can be damaged and your car start overheating.
SPLIT BORE CULOT RINGS : Displacement of the gasket material- Cracked bore eyelets- Hard blackened face with cracks if the combustion leakage occurs. With no doubt your car overheating already starting on the condition of this head gasket.
INSUFFICIENT TORQUE: Displacement of the gasket material- Cracking of the bore eyelets- Few or no compression marks on facing- Gasket thickness nearly same as new gasket. All that can be caused by: Adding sealant during gasket installation- Head bolt problems insufficient tightening, Damaged or dirty threads – Bolts not re-torqued. Your car will be overheating any time.
DETONATION AND PRE-IGNITION : Gasket material burnt between bores and problem area- Discoloured eyelets- Combustion leakage paths.Detonation Causes: High compression ratio- Advanced ignition setting- Wrong Air/Fuel Ratio- Octane rating too low.Pre-Ignition Causes: Octane rating too low- Hot spot in combustion chamber- Wrong spark plug heat range- Incorrect camshaft timing- Inefficient cooling system causing localised car overheating.
